When we go on vacation, we often get carried away by the euphoria of departure. However, when you’re going abroad, there are a number of tips and instructions to follow. Here’s a smart checklist of all the things you need to do before you leave on your trip.
Find your travel at the best price
You can, for example, compare trips on several different sites to find the most interesting one for you. There are a number of major players in the travel market, including Tui.fr, Last minute and promovacances.
Packing your suitcase
Don’t pack your suitcase at the last minute, and above all, don’t take on too much. Hotels offer cleaning services so you can leave lighter.

Preparing your identity papers
If you’re traveling within the European Union, a simple identity card is all you need for safe transport. But if you’re going abroad to other countries, you’ll need a valid passport, or ESTA authorization if you want to stay on American soil. Most countries require your passport to be valid for three months after your official departure date. Before you book any plane tickets, remember to check the validity of your passport.
Prepare your travel medicine kit
Even if you’re traveling to a Western country, you may not be able to find the medicines you need. So remember to keep a small stock of essential medicines in your suitcase.
What vaccinations do you need for your trip?
It’s important to take advantage of your trip abroad to check that your vaccinations are up to date. Some vaccinations are not compulsory in Europe, but are highly recommended abroad, such as the hepatitis A vaccine.
Tell friends and family about your trip
If you’re going on a trip abroad, be sure to tell your family and friends about your trip, giving them your departure and arrival dates and the approximate route you plan to take.
